A friendly, no pressure "meet and greet" over a cup of coffee. I am certainly no expert in inter-personal relationships. If I were, I would not be divorced and looking for a companion at this age. However, in my time thus far on the planet I have learned a great deal about what is truly important and what it is that provides me with the highest degree of happiness. One thought about "baggage"...despite the negative connotation of the term, we all have it in some form or another. There is not a human being on the planet who does not have "issues" and anyone who believes that they are free of them is in my view not being honest with themselves.

I've pretty much done everything that I wanted to do in my younger days. I would like to see the desert at some point and perhaps return to Italy.

Distracția pentru mine este

I tend to lead a simple existence, at times almost Thoreauvian. I strive to lead a peaceful life, and as such I am a "home and hearth" type of individual, but most definitely not a couch potato. In my younger days I derived my energy from those around me however now I derive it from within myself. I also enjoy the energy that comes from playing music...I play in a band with my older son...however when the gig is over and the venue closes for the night, I am quite happy to return to the peace of my home. I am not looking to do any major traveling, since I did as much as I desired to do in my younger days.

I believe that my ideal companion would be a sweet and intelligent woman who is motivated more by the intangibles than the tangibles. She would be able to find humor in virtually every situation. She would feel as I do that happiness and fun do not require visits to an ATM and/or use of credit cards...she would be able to appreciate the beauty that life and nature offers and would enjoy seeing it with me. She would enjoy walking hand-in-hand on a trail in one of our many state parks and she would appreciate the value of quiet and "intellectual" time. Since my own passion is music, my ideal companion would at least have an active interest in it. She would also have a passion of her own (if it happens to be music, then WOW!) and want to share it with me. MOST IMPORTANTLY, I have found that at this stage of my life, I am probably not interested in cohabitation. I freely admit that I have become quite “set in my ways” and I am most content in my environs.
