For the past 7 years I’ve been away from the ranch life, but find myself staring out of my small office window, longing for the farm and the open air. It’s hard to believe sometimes that I miss mending fences in the pouring rain or the heat of the day, but there’s nothing like greeting the sun in the morning while feeding the livestock. In the past I’ve enjoyed showing cattle, and my favorite thing to do at home is kick off my shoes and work in the garden. I currently work full time as a dental office manager and rent a home on five acres where I grow my own vegetables and flowers. I can everything that I grow and give away the extras. I also raise my own beef for myself and my family. Spending time baking and cooking with my grandkids fills my heart with joy, and I also love taking them out to experience camping, fishing, and horseback riding, though admittedly I do long for the company of a man while doing these things. I love to laugh and find the good in people. My family is very important to me and I spend as much time with them as possible. I love animals, but lost my 15 year old dog Nicko last April and my 31 year old horse earlier this year. Right now I don’t think it would be fair to a new dog to be left alone all the time while I work, but I’d love to get another buddy at some point.
