I am a self-employed educational consultant and writer. I have been divorced for many years, and my daughter is self-sufficient, living on her own. Now it's time for me!

I love music, the theater, symphony, concerts, the outdoors, reading, gardening, sharing a good glass of wine along with good conversation.

I am looking for someone to enjoy some of these things with. I think people play too many games instead of just being honest about who they are and what they want. We all "have baggage" at our stage in life, so there's no point in pretending otherwise. Baggage means experience and hopefully maturity.

So, to be honest, I am not looking for an intense long-term relationship that involves commitment. I have been on my own for a very long time, and believe that I would not make a good "wife" any longer. Is that honest enough?

I am funny and kind, and enjoy talking to someone with intelligence and thoughtfulness. I value honesty and kindness above all else in a friend and/or companion.

My non-negotiables are smoking, drugs, and cruelty. I do not appreciate political or religious extremism.
