Kuvailisin itseäni

Low maintenance female, ex-military Sergeant, writer of fiction and poetry. Raised two sons...waiting for grandkids. Still working and own home...well me and the bank. Quiet with a good sense of humor, sometimes quick with the quips. Not overly qualified for any thing, but good at a lot...no college but can hold intelligent conversations - don't care to work hard at expressing my opinions because what are they really...opinions. Like to share thoughts. Want the calmer things in life...and time to enjoy them. Looking for good companionship with all the perks but not before we know each other.
It is hard to say what I truly want...I believe that I will know it when I find it. Until then no one night stands...but not necessarily matramony either. I love sunrises and sunsets...rain and rainbows...mountains and desert...get the picture? I can't say I won't go anywhere because I "dislike" things. I love the beach at sunrise...I love the desert at night. I just enjoy a lot of variety. I can camp but am feeling it more.
I do prefer dogs to cats, sunny days to rainy...I can say I HATE THE WIND! but I endure it too. Let's stop now and leave a little mystery to me...
I don't like shallow...if you have to see a photo don't bother. I prefer to listen to the heart...and of course beauty is skin deep. I don't photograph well, but I like my reflection in the mirror...I won't hold photos or no photos against you. I am not Barbie and I am not looking for Ken. Be honest and see what develops!
Okay...In case you are wondering I can go on...I am a writer, but I am going to stop so you will have to contact me and ask questions!!! Conversations are a two way street...even in cyber space!!!

Picnic...getting to know each other away from noise. No major distractions. Inexpensive food and drink, some laughs as we share our past experiences/stories of life. It would show me if you can be spontaneous and creative while finding out about my preferences for food and such.

A person who is himself...no fronts. I knew a guy once who had knowledge, couldn't hold a job...couldn't laugh, couldn't figure out how to buy a present for anyone else (his mom, his kids, me) didn't pay attention to what other people liked. But we won't go there. I don't know how to explain it but I will know if I do or do not like a personality.
I like eyes that smile to the soul!
