Thanks for reading my profile! I am a very honest, affectionate, caring, giving, down-to-earth guy that is not in this to play games but to hopefully find my life-long "soulmate"!
I have a great life... excellent health, financially secure, comfortable home, early retired, wonderful family, etc. The only thing missing is that "special" someone to share all the adventures that life has to offer! I look, act and feel much younger than my age and the physical activities that I enjoy ... hiking, boating, canoeing, etc. ... keep me that way! I love nature and the outdoors but can be very content at home ... snuggling on the sofa watching a good movie, cooking (I love to cook) a great meal or just laughing, having fun and acting "silly"!! I love week-end get-a-ways and want to do some traveling ... an Alaskan cruise at the top of my list!
I am looking for someone that has some outer beauty and "loads" of inner beauty ... someone who has a mind of her own but is willing to compromise! Someone that will be there for me and knows that I will be there for her ... no matter the situation!
I really don't need someone to live with but someone that I can't live WITHOUT!

En ideel første date ville være

On a first date I would like to take a walk in a beautiful setting ... the two of us basically alone and in no particular hurry. We would talk openly and honestly .. being very comfortable with each other ... being totally ourselves and not pretending to be someone other than who we actually are. Then find a quiet little out of the way restaurant or cafe with a dimly lit corner made just for the two of us! After a great meal and wonderful conversation we take another walk ... in the moonlight and as I slip my hand into hers and our eyes meet ... we just know that we are right for each other!

To get up each day with a positive attitude and a sense of adventure! To try new things and approach all things with an open mind. I love nature and the outdoors ... water, trees, blue skies, wind, thunder storms, animals, all things that God has created. To me fun is sharing many things with a "special" someone! Travel, week-end get-a-ways, boating, canoeing, hiking, photography, estate auctions, antiques, yard sales, flea markets, cooking a meal together, dancing, snuggling, sharing a glass of wine, exercising, driving the back roads, laughing and acting silly, hugs and kisses (can you tell I am a huge romantic?), ANYTHING can be fun with the right person!
