Update as of April 2012: As you can see, I have a quirky sense of humor. Nice to meet you, I'm Susan. I have finally come to enjoy my way of living without too much drama and am always looking for the positive ways to enrich my life. I have done very little dating during the last four years and focused more on my home remodeling and adjusting to forced retirement. I am relatively healthy after a two+ year health issue. I enjoy being my old self again. Amazing how being on the right meds can make you feel. I'm active and love adventure in many forms...ocean, fishing, day trips, parks, theater, movies, dancing, yard sailing, just to name a few. I like to step out of my comfort zone occasionally and do something new and challenging. I just don't like to do them alone. Are you game to join me?
I'm from New Hampshire and at age 18, I joined the Navy and enjoyed great adventures and met wonderful people from all over the world. I came to enjoy trying new foods.... most I liked, a few, ewwwwwwwwwww. I married young, had two sons who now live locally, traveled some and then retired from the Navy in 2003 after serving 26 years. In 2000, I was widowed after a good 29 yr. marriage. I also have a granddaughter, hope for more someday.
I'm seldom without something to talk about. (Hmmmm, does that mean I never shut up?) No, but I do appreciate good conversations and know a little about a lot of subjects to keep it going. I'm a unique woman with lots to offer a relationship and hope to make some wonderful friends here.
