I have lived alone (with pets) for several years. I recently retired, and finally have time to enjoy a personal life. I will add more to my profile and photos soon, but for now I want to try this site and see if it really works.
In addition to my dog in the picture, I have just adopted a little special needs dog from the local shelter. She is a three-legged dog, and she wakes up every morning with a smile on her face, wagging her tail, running and falling all over the house, just so happy to be here. You gotta love her attitude.
My philosophy on life is well summed up in the writing "Desiderata". (Do a web search if not familiar with it)
I love to swim and have been teaching swimming since retiring. (I started teaching swimming when I was in high school and college) I'm hoping to get back to cross country skiing, now that I have the time for it.
Life is good... or at least it SHOULD be.
