I'm a city person and an aficionado of the arts - have lived in New York since 1975 and never tire of exploring it (I enjoy walking tours both in NY and when I travel). I retired about four years ago after twenty years working in exhibitions. I love having more time for lectures, walking tours, and other cultural activities. My interests include the NYT crossword puzzle (I'm an addict), museums, film, theater, and opera, languages and translation. I'm a volunteer for the NYC Big Apple Greeter Program and am doing more traveling.
I believe my friends would describe me as idealistic and enthusiastic about what's important to me, interested and concerned about others, considerate, and somewhat reserved in new situations.
