My Idea Of Fun Is

Fun happens generally when electricity between people sparks spontaneous decisions, doing something zany and out of the ordinary, whether it's a night-time swim without clothes or dropping chores for a picnic at the beach. For me it's more about the energy between the two people really. If they're in a fun mood they can make any activity entertaining. I enjoy physical activities that distract the mind from life's chaotic demands. Yoga calms me and teaches me to be present in the moment. Bicycle riding gets me out of the house and closer to nature, a regenerative force in my life. If I were planning a fun weekend, I'd book a cabin in the mountains with trails abundant with streams, waterfalls, flora and fauna. And I'd take a loving partner with me. However, as a writer, I also like to have fun by myself, fooling with words, pinning a poem to a page, excited when it actually works.
