The Best is Yet to Come - Life is Good!

Jag skulle beskriva mig själv som

Healthy, happy and active, I am very involved in community activities and volunteer for a number of agencies. I am a Christian, active in my church and continuing my faith journey through study, reflection and community.
Two grown children and a besutiful granddaughter, all of whom I have a wonderful, warm relationship. I come from a large family - parents and 5 sisters, with occasional family get-togethers with 4 generations!
High school career & techniocal teacher, looking forward to retirement in a few years - love my job and working with young people, but also learning to make time for me! Education and the arts are important to me - I appreciate compassion, respect, and positive energy in others, as well as myself. I swim several times each week - for fun, to teach swimming, or to coach Speical Olympians.
I love my life, yet hope to share years ahead with someone special.

Den idealiska första dejten för mig skulle vara att

Walking/hiking through Hocking Hills follwed by coffee/tea and light lunch/dinner would be wonderful in the fall. First dates are to introduce and get to know one another so there should be time to talk theater or a movie would be great, but time beforehand or afterward to talk would be wonderful. I enjoy meeting people and am confortable in a variety of situations, so I am open to something conventional or a little non-traditional!

Jag har alltid velat prova

I have had minimal experiences traveling - I would like to visit more of the United States and select countries abroad. I have always dreamed of going on a cruise - Caribbean, Alaskan, Scandinavian, anywhere interesting! I also miss being active in sports - I was an athlete in high school and college, and still walk and/or swim regularly, and currently coach Special Olympics, but I miss playing; volleyball, basketball, maybe even returning to SCUBA.

...to honor God through service to others, and to enjoy the journey, making a difference for a few people along the way. I want to be an example of joy and grace for others.
I want to share my years of retirement (and before!) with a man who enjoys life sharing laughter, tears and happiness. I want to continue to be a blessing and not a burden to my children adn grandchildren.

varied - rainstorms on the porch with hot chocolate and a blanket, walking hand-on-hand on the beach at sunrise/set, hiking through nature venues, or cuddling by the fire with a good book or in an intriguing discussion - I enjoy family get-togethers, sisters' weekends and sporting events (spectator!). Dining out followed by theater production - priceless!

Vad letar du efter?

It is important to me for a man to be trustworthy and to have integrity. Although I recognize that everyone has faults and may have some 'baggage', I would want my partner to be an active Christian, hopefully to share faith experiences and practices together. I would want him to be educated without being arrogant, and to be friendly and willing to meet other people.
