Oops--I'm over 75 in a 55mph state!

Sometimes, it seems, you just can't please a woman! I live in a beautiful retirement center surrounded by 100 wonderful senior citizens, but I'm LONELY and complaining about it. Would some nice gentleman please come to my aid so I'm not limited to conversing with old ladies most of the time? I'm not looking for someone to wine and dine me -- I like simple pleasures and enjoy picking up the tab as much as being the recipient of a treat or I'd be more than happy to go "Dutch". I love spending time with my family, chatting over coffee (but I'm a good listener, too), going out to dinner or ordering a pizza in, going to a movie or watching a DVD at home, going to Hult performances or listening to a CD at home and I'm crazy about all card and board games. I've never been a sports enthusiast but I do know how to sit quietly next to someone who's engrossed in a sporting event on TV and only open my mouth during commercials. I'm afraid I fall short of being aged to perfection, but if you're looking for a down-to-earth plain Jane conservative who's honest, warm and caring and with a great sense of humor, you should check me out.

Somehow, I'm drawing a blank on this one. I've never been overly adventurous and I think it's a bit late to come up with something in that category. I think I'll stick to the old tried and true forms of entertainment that I've always enjoyed.

I want to continue to be the good mother, grandmother and great grandmother I've been thus far. I also want to enjoy each day that comes along and hope there will be many of them. In addition, I'd like to find a fine man who would share some of his time with me. I recently spent five years in a relationship with someone I thought was going to be the love of my life but this was not to be. I treated my SO as a "significant other"; he regarded my position as his SO as "servant only". This experience has made me a tad bit gunshy so, for now, I'm only looking for a casual relationship where both parties are content with exchanging some of their lonely times for fun-filled activities with a pal.

Mit jelent a szórakozás a részemre:

I don't have much physical endurance, I'm afraid of heights and don't go near deep water unless I'm in a boat. That pretty much rules out participating in marathons, mountain climbing, sky diving and deep sea diving. The milder forms of entertainment that I do participate in are challenger crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, eating and movies out or ordering in and watching a DVD, listening to music or attending concerts. I also like to go to Alton Baker Park to feed the birds and I enjoy browsing in antique shops -- I don't want to buy, just look. Since coffee is free at home, I consider going "out" for coffee a very nice luxury and I'd love to find a gentleman on my same wave length so together we could try to solve the world's problems over our coffee.

Mi az ami után kutat?

Looking for someone who has views and interests similar to mine and, above all, someone who does NOT expect a woman my age to look, act and feel like a 40-year old! I'm doing the best I can with what I have to work with. My photo was taken late in 2002, but the stress of the last five years has taken a slight toll on me and there are new wrinkles not visible in this photo. But, remember that I'm 77, I had six children in seven years, I've always been a hard worker and I can't afford plastic surgery -- so, don't be looking for a Rachel Welch or a Marilyn Monroe in this kid.
