I Would Describe Myself As
I'm in love with the lovely Jesus & praise God; He's in love with me & I want that for the partner that I seek also. I am a widow of 12 years. & never really bothered to even think about forming any new, lasting relationships until now. Some folks would say: "a bit late in the game" ... but I say: "never too late for a shower of rain" (lol)
I have three beautiful children... now adults, who I coordinated as they sang together (satellited worldwide) since the youngest was 4. An example of their singing was when they sang special music for the last night of Pstr. Doug Bachelor 's "Net '99" Evangelistic series in NYC (subsequently, they were featured on 3ABN for a few years) and other "Nets" for Mark Finley, etc. before and while they were in our Academy, in Orlando, Fl.
My older daughter still sings. Apart from her regular job as a dedicated Social Worker, she's the singer in a local band and they're "all over the globe" (lol)
After being a former IRS agent for over 13 years, I transitioned to teaching, because of an on-the-job auto accident, in 1995, that left me with a neck injury. I enjoy singing (including for Disney at Christmas time) and drama. Additionally, I serve the disadvantaged through my "Homeless Ministry" (AS Help for the Homeless) which I fund from my own pocket, and I have a nucleus of about 8 helpers/partners who do the same.
I also have a "Greeting Card" Ministry where, at frequent intervals, throughout the year, I try to send a little cheer to the "shut ins", many of whom feel neglected and forgotten.
When I started out doing the Homeless Ministry 13 years ago, I would just feed them at the major holidays - like most other groups... but then I got to thinking ... they're not hungry only at Christmas time and Thanksgiving but all year round and Jesus was not born at Christmas but He is with us all year round and wants us to work in His vineyard - all year round.
And I don't just feed them - I give them clothing, wholesome literature and admonish them each time regarding Jesus and HIs plan of Salvation.
My ministry was featured in the May, 2019 edition of "Southern Tidings" SDA magazine and I think the caption is noteworthy: Sometimes we have to "make Time" because that's what I literally had to do ...having the ministry, while teaching and working on my Phd in Education simultaneously.
Besides, My long-range goal is to see them come out of Homelessness and I meet with the Mayor of my city at intervals toward this end.
MERRY CHRISTMAS, AND A HAPPY 2025!!!!!!!!
