I am reasonably slim, blonde and petite in stature. I try to keep really healthy and fit and go to yoga and acqua classes each week. I love my life and have many friends but I am also happy to be alone. I enjoy walking with my dog, the sunshine, good wine and excellent food. I love to cook, dance and travel both interstate and overseas. I visit Europe regularly and have just returned from Hong Kong and China. I have been in academia all my working life, both here in Australia as a university lecturer and in England as a school inspector. I love to read and to write short stories. I attend classes at the Queensland Writers Centre and hope to publish one day - that is if I ever finish that book! . I go to the theatre, cinema and some operas and I am very eclectic in my choice of music. I have two adult children who live in Europe and three grandchildren

Some one who was interesting to talk to, who had good manners, was appropriately dressed for the occasion. Interested in me and my views, a good listener and a man who wanted to get to know me as a friend before expecting anything else.

Can be sitting on a beach enjoying a picnic, cooking a special meal for people I love, playing with my granchildren, long discussions on important aspects of life over a glass of wine, dancing at a wedding, watching a funny movie, going to a party, visiting new places and learning about different cultures.
