Me describiría a mi mismo como
I work part time. Thursday, Friday & Saturday. I design and sell residential tile installations. I have a BA in interior design. other than Disneyland '69/''70, this has been my favorite job.
I'm art focused. I paint, make jewelry (string beads) and weave. I'd like to do some wood working. I have a full workshop left by my husband.
I love travel. probably because I don' t have to think about my unfinished home. most vacations have been in tropical locales. mainly caribbean and Hawaiian.. I was a swimmer and lifeguard when I was younger. the swimming morphed into snorkeling, eventually. I took scuba classes at 21 but freaked out over the checkout dive in so cal. as I was terrified of swimming with jelly fish in and around kelp. it took 2 one week trips in the Caribbean...1st in Jamaica, 2nd in grand cayman... to get over the fear of swimming with fish.
I went to Europe fall of '81 with my mom for 9 weeks. missed Paris and Rome, which were places I was totally ticked off over. they are headliners on my bucket list.
if time and money were no object, I would learn to fly and to sail. I love going to air shows (have volunteered at the California air show a couple of times.) i sailed on a few day trips. first a 40' out of marina del Rey...90% of the distance to Catalina before the spinnaker blew out & turned back in toward Newport beach. a huge catamaran in Jamaica and a 1929 wooden 2 masted boat out of st Thomas. what a dream.
I love to drive...day trips. we are in a great location for it. going to museums or galleries. I try to go out to second Saturday but sometimes I'm done in by work.
I love reading. I've blown through over 500 books in the past 5 years.
I once enjoyed several tv series. I prefer to record the whole season on the DVD and zip through the commercials while watching several episodes in an evening. I haven't watched much tv over the past 2 years. Too many books to read. I like going to movies, plays, comedy clubs, musicals, staged dance and movement performances... cirque du soleil, mummenschanz, ballet, pilobolus
fine dining...by that I mean really good food really impresses me. I like quiet places mostly.
