I'm a writer (screenplays, corporate freelance, novelist and memoirist...with a book published this year). Just finished the promotional tour and am looking at ramping up my social life now that the hard slog of getting a book written, edited, published and promoted has been put to bed.

I read everything, from street signs to War & Peace. I love music, everything from Billy Bragg to Bach. I am a long-time subscriber to the Sydney Symphony Concerts and never miss the Byron Blues and Roots Festival...very eclectic. And I'm a cinema tragic, again; love it across a wide range of genre. Public dreams, I call cinema...nothing better than to bliss out with a G&T and a packet of Maltesers in a Gold Class lounge and pass a couple of enjoyable hours lost in someone else's imagination.

I try, in my daily life, to follow the Buddhist philosophy ....and try to walk 30 minutes and meditate 30 minutes most days although I'm not a fanatic.

I'm here in Sydney, anchored to my beautiful and bountiful family of adult children and grandkids but they get along nicely without their 'Nonna' and I'm always up for the outward journey, be it up to the Roaring Meg Falls in the beautiful Daintree rainforest or the crazy streets of New York. I belong to a travel club and have my bags packed and at the front door!

I have an Honors degree in English and Political Science but don't let that frighten you....I sometimes let others win the argument!

I worked hard for Julia Gillard to be our first female Prime Minister. I'm an old feminist who bares the scars of many a good battle.

Now I really am beginning to sound scary!

At my age, 'goals in life' become whistful musings! I've done most of what I set out to do in life; found love, had beautiful children, respected by my peers, became a published author. I still want to cruise the Greek Isles with a beautiful companion...or two...or more.
