I am a self sufficient woman who is looking for a partner to share life with. I am employed full time and have a 154 mile round trip commute to work every day so weekends are my only free time and I try to make the most of them.
I'm not very photogenic and this is my passport photo. I'd like to think that I look better than the photo but that may just be wishful thinking on my part or an overactive imagination. I gained weight after my husband died (stress eating) and am now working on loosing it. I'm not a size 10, but I don't exactly look like a beached whale either.
I love all animals (not fond of reptiles), cats and horses are my favourites. I grew up with a pet white rabbit, two white ducks, a Boston Terrior, black Labrador, a red Doberman, a Squirrel Monkey, and several parakeets. Later, as an adult, I had a horse (Throughbred and Tenessee Walking horse cross breed) and two white German Shepherds. At the moment several cats allow me to live in their home.
I have many hobbies; collecting art and antiques, painting (on canvas not walls), gourmet cooking, going to flea markets, auctions and estate sales, and a bit of DIY to name a few. I enjoy traveling and my passport is current, I enjoy attending concerts, watching films, going to the theater, dining out, chilling out at home, reading, sports cars (left or right hand drive), having friends over for dinner, and curling up in front of a fire in winter with that special someone and a good bottle of wine. I am not a couch potato and I normally stay quite busy.
I grew up in St. Louis and have lived in Texas, Alabama, Indiana, and New York as well as in Germany for 3 years and England for 14 years. My travels have taken me thoughout a lot of Europe, to North Africa and the far East.
