But I’m stuck in Melbourne (not that I mind). My travel partners have deserted me. We had a ball while it lasted.
Now I want to do things closer to home, whether it be a concert, or play, movies, dinner out, as long as we can laugh together, talk about things we have in common and discuss those that aren’t.
I’m a happy person with a sense of humour, Tertiary educated, and have had a hard but fulfilling life. Raised my family alone firstly while studying and working. I was married for 11 years out of my 72 so I’m quite independent and capable of getting things done. I would say the reason I remained unmarried was to raise my children in a happy environment, and then along came the grandkids and what a joy they are.
One is graduating from Melbourne University next week and the baby is in the final year of school. It was great being with them, but now they are old enough to travel alone and I’m here mostly alone, thinking I would like a friend to hang with and if we become very good trusting genuine friends who knows?
