I enjoy writing, reading, going to the movies, live theatre, concerts, dining out with friends, and a good laugh. Most people who know me enjoy my company. I work in the mental health field and teach at a local university. Most people perceive me as more confident and more comfortable in social situations than I am (must be the alpha-female vibe). But actually I am a very shy person. So as you might imagine, I'm more than a tad anxious about 'meeting people'. Yet here I am. Why now? New Year, new attitude, more open to possibilities. I'm a Cancer, granted on the Gemini cusp but still.
LOL! I was just folding clothes and realized I have a respectable collection of concert tees: Paul McCartney, Metallica, Sugarland, Robert Plant, Elton John & Leon Russell, Steely Dan and more. Then there's my classic rock tee collection: The Doors, Meatloaf, Queen, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, etc. Jeez! I have a lot of tees! And I love going to concerts. My concert buddy moved to Italy a year ago so I'm looking for another. Perhaps you?
I wear these tees when I work out which is 4-5 times a week. Nothing extreme, an hour of cardio and light weights.
I am a voracious reader and lifelong learner. Earned two college degrees in my forties and it was the best time ever. I knit sweaters, vests, and scarves. I also write 'fun fiction' stories with a few friends. I LOVE Deadliest Catch (R.I.P. Captain Phil), SOA, and Swamp People (CHOOTEM!). Never been on a motocycle in my life, riding on back of Harley is top of my bucket list this year! :)
I am most compatible with people who are smart, humorous, witty, fun-loving, and kind. I'd like a man in my life who is loving, supportive, honest and true. Who has lived an examined life and has come to acceptance and peace with it. With the innate good taste to recognize a treasure when he finds one.
