Shining star looking for a place in the galaxy, seeks another shining star with similar desires. This star is a retired reading teacher who now is following her passions and is enjoying life in the beautiful corner of Northwest Connecticut.


Sometimes we feel lost in space, but when we finally share the same place in the universe we feel like we have come home. Seeking best friend and life partner to journey through our time together and enjoy what makes each other smile.

What makes me smile? Country fairs, going to the movies (I want my own bag of popcorn) rocky road ice cream, raw clams and oysters, crickets on a hot summer night, kayaking, feet in the sand, reading a book, late night movies in bed, morning coffee, blueberry pancakes, discovering a wonderful place off the beaten track, home cooked comfort food, theater, singing, Broadway, swimming in a lake or ocean, antique stores, warm hugs with you, spending time with close friends and family.

Let's shine our lights, meet each other, and wait for spontaneous combustion. I'm ready, are you?

My ideal first date? Let's just meet for coffee, or ice cream, have good conversation, maybe a short walk around town and agree on a second date!

After that, in the summertime, let's take a day trip to the ocean, eat seafood at a roadside stand, explore the local color and have a romantic dinner by the water. Or we can kayak on a lake or a stream, see a show or go to a local antique store, find a cozy diner off the beaten track.

In the fall, let's go to a festival, drink hot cider and eat freshly made cider donuts at an orchard. Take a hike in the woods or a drive to see the foliage.

In the winter, let's go cross country skiing if there is snow, followed by hot chocolate and sitting by a fire. Or we can go to a play or a movie matinee. Let's make a homemade comfort meal and watch movies snuggled in for the night.

In spring we are open to new possibilities, maybe a vacation, a home project or just taking a walk around town to breathe in the spring air.

I'm seeking an emotionally healthy, fun-loving, intellectually curious man, who lives within a 1.5 hour drive from NW Connecticut and is close to my age (65-75).
