I Would Describe Myself As
My friends say I encourage them, and my adult children say I'm generous.I love my children and grandchildren deeply, and love spending time with them. I'm a follower of Jesus, and seek to express His love to others in genuine and kind ways.
I enjoy surfing, walking on the beach, listening to music, going out to dinner,to the movies, experiencing new adventures and meaningful conversations.
Life is for living and sharing.I still feel young, and am active. I have been blest to have traveled extensively and would be happy to keep on going, although I love living in Papamoa Beach!
I was a Secondary School Teacher for over 30 years, here in New Zealand, teaching History,Geography and social studies, but I especially loved the last 12 years of my teaching career, teaching The Bible at Hebron Christian College,( now part of Elim College). I was also made Chaplain of Hebron from 2006.I'm now retired.
I grew up in the USA, and moved to New Zealand, full-time in 1978.Having spent a year in NZ with Youth With a Mission, in 1974, I had, 'fallen in love with New Zealand!'
I'm active in my church, co-leading a weekly Bible study, and attending services, on a regular basis.
I would love to meet a like-minded lady who would have similar likes and interests.
A lady who loves Jesus, and wants to grow in her walk with Him.
I believe my strongest attributes are: being an encourager, compassionate, caring, faithful, kind, with a good sense of humour!
Sometimes it takes a while to meet the right person, but I still believe in love and honesty.
