I am a warm, considerate and very honest woman. I have been a nurse since 1968. Originally from Cleveland and a family of well educated people. We also leaned Jewish customs and ceremonies. Still light candles on Friday nights. Go to services occasionally. I belong to a Conservative shul but enjoy modern orthodox, Aish and Chabad. I was raised in an Orthodox Hebrew school and still speak some but my grammar sucks. I am also a really domestic woman, a good to great cook depending, I make all the old dishes that I was raised with, Italian, Mexican whatever foods. I love to cook and bake. I also have a hobby that has me adjusting menus and reading nutrition a good deal of the time. I do like to go out to eat Asian food and Mexican food or upscale steak and fish places as well. I no longer keep Kosher. I became a widow in November of 2015 and have rejoined the world with no regrets. I was a good wife, the main bread winner. I love watching sports on TV and playing poker. I have many friends in the poker community. I am blessed to have many good friends and I know the difference between friend and acquaintance. I enjoy being taken care of, not that I have much recent experience with that. I have no children but a bevy of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Most are in Massachusetts, Ohio, New York/New Jersey. I love travel by road trips and cruising As well as other methods. I have no fears/issues with flying. I enjoy cuddling and have no problem with PDAs. I enjoy music. I was raised on classical and love symphony orchestral recordings and performances as well as Classic Rock, Jazz, Folk and Broadway musicals. I often joke that I am just an old hippie. I tell the truth and am not tolerant of liars, I enjoy reading novels, mysteries, biographies, Jewish themes or not. Not really a book of the month club reader mainly because I generally read medical or nursing non-fiction. I do not suffer fools easily. I consider myself an independent when it comes to politics, have always been more left leaning which is not to say I have never voted for someone who was more center whether republican or democrat. To me voting is mandatory and so is knowing why you are voting for what or for whom. I love dogs. I can't ever see being without a few! I am fun, especially after a glass of wine. I can't even remember to have a glass of red a day though. I am the 4th of 4 kids and my parents raised no royalty. And yes I really do love sports! And I used to work on the cars with my Dad and when I was 20-21 my boyfriend, an electrical engineer and his partner, also an engineer owned and was the driver of a trans am car and raced scca. As a member of the pit crew I worked on the car with him. He was blown away by a Jewish girl who loved and could work on cars! That's all I can think of to tell you about me for now. I like everybody I consider interesting am well educated an enjoy good conversations and debate, learning new things and am a people person. I enjoy intimacy and I think that is very important but not when I am first getting to know you and deciding if you are friend or foe! If you are a Jewish, giving, generous guy between 65 and 75 who feels like he is still in his 40s or so, without severe health issues and you know how to treat a lady properly like to have fun whether it is watching a movie (I NEED popcorn) or going out with friends to a nice restaurant of for pizza and can afford to then give me a call!
