ABOUT ME
I’m outgoing with friends, but tend to be a bit shy with people I don’t know, and lead a full life with many interests. These include music concerts, AFL at the G, club motorsport and being involved in the two businesses I own. Family is important. I’m the oldest of 7 children and I need to do a stock-take to count all the cousins, nieces, and nephews. Family Christmas is chaos LOL. My sense of humour tends to be a bit dry and cheeky, but only with people I know.
My day to day life? Coffee or three in the morning. Work from home on my businesses. Dinner out if possible, with my preferences being Japanese, Italian, and good pub food. Oh, and a jazz gig once a week assuming there’s a band I like and I can get a partner. Going on my own is not much fun.
I prefer the bush to the beach, but having said that I love Palm Cove in Far North Queensland. My ideal weekend away is in Hepburn Springs with lunch at The Convent and dinner at the Farmer’s Arms. There’s so much to see and do in the Daylesford region.
WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR
I want to meet a lady whose glass is half full, and like me have little baggage. She must be educated, intelligent and willing to share our dreams and secret fears, and look to a shared future together. Like me, she must be active, financially secure, and loves Melbourne and all it offers. Some-one who pushes me up and doesn’t drag me down! A lady who is my best friend.
MUSIC
I’m going out on a limb here! I love all forms of jazz and blues. Some Artists? Movement9, Olivia Chindamo, Rebecca Mendoza, Kerry Simpson, Elana Stone, TinPan Orange, Tony Joe White. You get the picture, right? A bit of country goes a very long way. Not into modern head banger stuff. I regularly go to Paris Cat, Bennetts Lane, Dizzies, Memo, Caravan Club, and Flying Saucer. If you know some of the clubs, then good. If you don’t then you’re not for me.
With the right person, I enjoy going to local music festivals.
READING
I read every day. Mainly “crime who done its”, with a preference for Swedish and Icelandic authors. My daughter and I swap books.
MOVIES & TV
I prefer Foxtel to free to air. Documentaries and similar. Jools Holland when his series is on.
SPORT
I’m more a watcher although a casual walk is good for the spirit. I’m a Richmond member and go to the home games. Every month I’m involved with a club level motorsport event.
OTHER INTERESTS
BBQ’s. Dinners out. Going to the beach and watching a sunset. Tinkering with my classic car. Movies, Chess Travel to FNQ, New Orleans, Europe. If it’s Bali, then count me out. And I enjoy day/weekend cruises with the car club I belong to in my old sports car.
