Lucky enough to have had a happy childhood, I have enjoyed a remarkable life, (despite a couple of tragedies) and take it on with enthusiasm, finding something new around every corner. Am comfortable on my own, but love to share all that we can over a candle-lit dinner. I find other people's stories and interests really fascinating and am a good listener. After my school years, I trained as a nurse and worked full-time, part-time, spasmodically throughout the upbringing of four children. I branched off with other university courses and communication counselling; but nursing was my main income. Hobbies are an odd mix: creative writing, building design and construction; art; music (classical, soft jazz and folk); science (love forensics and evolution); and communicating with others. Occasional entertaining is great too. I do miss the happy hour now - there's nothing quite like a drink at five with someone special, to catch up on the day and see where our leaders are taking us. I'm 5'2" and 57 kilos; fairly fit and healthy. I always feel somewhat humbled by the luck I've have in getting this far in life and still feeling as fit as I did thirty years ago. Through with travelling, I really would prefer to stay put now and lead a quiet life, preferably close to the bush. Although a dress-up dinner is great, I'm just as happy around a campfire.
