Me describiría a mi mismo como
First and I guess most importantly, I am a widower, meaning I am single. I have been so for a little more than 5 years. Also important, I am NOT looking for a replacement. I am looking for someone new, to enjoy spending time with. Having been happily married, I think I have a pretty good idea of what makes me happy and the first goal is friendship.
Being friends, or should I say the goal of two strangers becoming friends, is the first level of any relationship. Now, I have many acquaintances but, FEW friends. My wife and I were friends, the closest type of friends there are. I have discovered that there are hurdles to becoming friends. There are building blocks to engaging in a mutually satisfying friendship. Each encounter with a new person sets in motion the process of building the entity which may become that new friend.
I have definite ideas about what those building blocks are and the first of those building blocks is you seeing something in that other person that causes you to want to start building a relationship.
A architect draws plans and paints a picture of what the building will look like. Based on the outward appeal of the finished product, the potential owner of the building will make a decision of whether or not to proceed and dig deeper into the plans for building a sound structure. In other words, YES, ir all starts with “curb appeal.”
I have tried to show you a couple of pictures that I hope might make you want to see if there is anything of substance, that might make you want see if this “building” might be something that could ake you happy.
Let me add, at the risk of being straight forward. I am NOT interested in marriage. I have been there twice, once in a situation that was probably wrong from the beginning and the second time, happily. I AM looking for a relationship that would have substance and one that would be a source of joy and would last.
I need to say that first, I will only respond to those with a picture. Second, I will only date within my ethnicity. There should be much to talk about, if mutually we decided to see what could develop. It can’t happen here. It can only begin. Has to start somewhere, right?
