Hello! First, thank you for taking the time to check out my profile and learn a bit about me.
Job and education wise, I am professionally employed as an engineer and well educated with a technical BS and management MS. I am a retired military officer (Lieutenant Colonel) from the United States Air Force (in which I served our great country for 26 years). My current engineering job with an aerospace corporation is a second career that I have almost 12 years into now. So I am doing well.
Physically, I am a very lean and trim 140 pounds and stay that way. I am in excellent physical condition as I am long distance runner (run 96 marathons to date) and stay very active. Running is a big part of my lifestyle, but not my only passion. I am not your ordinary 59 (almost 60...April 2011) year old and most folks say I look much younger...a validation of staying in good shape and living a good life with all things to moderation.
Other qualities and activities include the following. I am an amateur astronomer and love the stars! I have been doing this for over 50 years now. Nothing like being out under the dark skies on a cool night checking out what the heavens have to offer! I love movies at home on the HDTV or at the theaters. Movies have always been a passion of mine and enjoy all kinds though I must admit I gravitate to the action types. I like the outdoors and like the beach. I love to ride a beach cruiser along the beach paths soaking in the Sun and views. Not in any big hurry, just cruising and enjoying!! I am confident and secure.
I am down to Earth, pretty easy-going, optimist and an ardent lover. I also have a family (two Daughters- grown up 36 & 29; Son- 17, stays with me sometimes; and a Grand Daughter- 5) that I love very much.
Anyway, I have said enough said for now. There is a lot more to me, but first have to make "First Contact" (yes, I am a Trekkie!). Thanks once again for reading my profile and I look forward to hearing from you if you should decide to contact me.
