I Would Describe Myself As

I am retired from a 50-year career as a venture capital and private equity investment manager, the last 30 years as co-founder and Senior Managing Partner of my firm. Today, I live alone on my gentleman's horse farm in the Hudson Valley west of the Hudson River, about a 50-minute drive north and west of New York City, where I board and care for several retired standardbred racehorses. My passion is training and driving competitively standardbred racehorses - harness racing racehorses that pull a 2-wheel sulky around a racetrack. I am an amateur driver but licensed to drive against professionals at pari-mutuel harness racing racetracks nationally and internationally.

I am also a trustee of several charitable organizations that include educational institutions, a ballet school and company, a tuition free summer camp for boys from inner cities, a church and a couple of not-for-profit harness racing related organizations. After a successful, career, I am committed to giving back.

Among those organizations, I have become passionate about ballet. I have become to embody boundless respect for the athleticism and the artistry if the principal dancers who perform in the major ballet organizations. I am also a sports fan, especially, for ice hockey. My sons and my grandsons play competitive ice hockey. I am a life-long fan of the New York Rangers. I am also a lifelong fan of the New Yorks Mets and the New York Jets. Accordingly, I have learned to tolerate disappointment, humiliation and even rejection., albeit not always happily!
