Dear Reader, I am sending you this hastily scrawled message that you may know that by dint of courage and perseverance, I have survived the travails of a divorce filing and have been cast upon the shoals of a strange but hopefully hospitable land. As to the person who has sent you this missive--although I am now fully retired, for 20 or so years--prior to 911--I gleaned my share of the high-tech pie as a writer and editor of technical documentation for a wide spectrum of aerospace and private sector companies. In the years following 911, I resorted to other endeavors and was a general manager in the airline service and security industry at LAX Airport, where I was responsible for 150 or so employees involved in a variety of services to the major airlines, as well as private charters for celebrities and professional athletes. At the present time, I am assisting my 25-year old Daughter in her pursuit of a fashion design degree.
